Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou insists he is proud of his players for their discipline and hard work after they thrashed defending champions Manchester City 4-0 at the Etihad.
“So proud of the boys. Coming to City at home is daunting. It challenges every part of you. Everything today. We had to be disciplined and work hard and play proper football and we did. Our football made the difference today.”

On James Maddison: “Not just the goals, he’s been a key part of our midfield. He works hard defensively. He’s had a bit of a bad run of form but he’s been with us through the international break. He’s determine to get back to the level he wants to be. It’s been a perfect game for him.”
“He’s not that out of form, he’s just setting the bar high. Part of it is me, I have to get the best out of the players.”
On the centre-backs: “Excellent. Ben (Davis) and Radu (Dragusin) were outstanding, and Vicario too when we needed him. They weren’t just defensive, part of it was playing out from the back. They show courage and were reward.”
