Guardiola insists City won’t run away, will face failure

Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City are not running away and are ready to stand up and face failure after their latest 4-0 home defeat to Spurs, making it five consecutive defeats in all competitions.

“We are very fragile now. We can’t defend properly. We started well but didn’t score and conceded in the end. So the situation is more difficult.”

“I was here as a player, maybe not as a manager. The first three games at Barcelona we lost. The only chance we had was to stay there. The last eight years have been good. It would be a mistake to change the approach.”

“In life and sport, it’s not a fairy tale. Sometimes you have to live through these situations. You have to accept it. You can’t blame each other. Stay united. Keep doing what we do.”

“Do you want me to run away? Of course not. We have to stand up more than before. What will define us is when we fail, we have to stand up and face it.”

“I don’t know what’s going to happen this season, but there’s never been a time when I don’t believe in these players. There’s no team UFABET in the world that can keep it going for eight, nine, 10 years in a row.”

“Of course everything is not okay, but what we try to do is analyse it and go to the next game and see what happens.
