Gary Lineker has hailed the performance of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and believes it makes sense that Liverpool are interested in signing the player.

“It’s a dark and grim situation for Spurs, but at least they’ve salvaged something,” Lineker told The Rest League Football, analysing Kerkez’s assist against Spurs.
“They came back surprisingly, so I think that’s because I didn’t see anything going on, Bournemouth pressed really well, didn’t they?”
“Kerkez’s runs and passes too! He’s brilliant. I think the club will struggle to keep him. I’ve seen links with Liverpool and it makes sense.”
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards added: ‘Tottenham found it so difficult with that Bournemouth press.
‘How good were Bournemouth, it was ridiculous. They might be the best pressing side in the Premier League right now. They all know their jobs and they’ve got really good players.
‘Kerkez is just outstanding. He’s been link with Liverpool as well.’
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wanted his former club to sign a new left-back during the January transfer window and named Hungary international Kerkez as a possible option.
